Trials
No one will be surprised to learn that the trial scheduled for this Sunday 10
January at Cannock has been rescheduled to Sunday 7 February also at Cannock
with a start time of 1.30pm. We hope you can make this date.
It should be understood that LXers only need attend one of the two planned
trials - so if for example you plan to attend the trial at Oxford on Sunday 24
January, there is no need to also turn up at Cannock on 7 February, and vice
versa of course. However if you would like to attend both trials, then you will
be most welcome.
The trials on Sunday 24 January will take place at Oxford
Hawks. Over 60 members currently plan to attend this trial, so the catering
will be limited to tea and coffee with biscuits on arrival and after playing
there will be baguette style standwiches, all of which will be included in a
match fee of £6.00. The Clubhouse will be open for tea/coffee from midday. The
bar will be open from the early afternoon. Ground directions are obtainable

To avoid too much waiting between games, we are staggering arrival/start times:
Over 65s: please be at the pitch and ready to play at
1.00pm
Over 70s: at 1.30pm
Over 60s: at 2.30pm
Trials will take the form of 30 minute game periods, and all attending should
play in at least 2 full periods. Please bring both red and white shirts.
There is no need to reconfirm your presence at one of the 2 trials if you have
either indicated attendance at Oxford and still plan to attend, or if you were
attending the Cannock trial on 10 January and and are able shift to the
rescheduled date of 7 February - Other wise please update Keith Hunt.
