Trials - over 65s' - Old Loughtonians Ground - 6th March 2011 at 1:30 pm

This year Imtiaz is the chairman of England GGM’s. and he will be helped by Gerald Wilkinson and Clive Hicks in selection of the squad. There will be transparency and openness regarding selection and other such matters including captainship.

Accordingly anyone who feels  they want to be considered for GGM selection this year are invited to the above trials. [It is hoped England Great Grand Masters will hold two/three trials before Cannock weekend]

Quoting from recent letter from Imtiaz:-

“To select the best squad we need to make a fresh start. To this end and on behalf of the selectors , I am inviting you for trials on the above date, time and venue. The venue will be Old Loughtonians ground which is fairly well placed geographically. We will start at around 1:30 p.m. on Sand Based pitch. After three seasons of 30 minutes, we can have a meal, shower and watch any other hockey going on, if you so prefer.
Please bring a white and coloured shirt and be in good time for 1:30 p.m. start. The meals and hiring of ground will cast about £10.00 per player. If you will be accompanied by your partners then please do let me know for catering purposes and the cost for your partner will be £5.00 for meal.”
